OIDAR STUDY CIRCLE MEETING

“Online Information and database access or retrieval services (OIDAR)" is subject by itself and has always remained controversial under all the tax laws. Online Information Database Access and Retrieval services (hereinafter referred to as OIDAR) is a category of services provided through the medium of internet and received by the recipient online without having any physical interface with the supplier of such services. There are n number of transactions regarding this service on a daily basis. Further, with the advent of lockdown world wide and Covid-19 pandemic, the online transactions have gained tremendous momentum. To deal with various litigious issues under OIDAR, the IDT Committee of The Chamber of Tax Consultants has organized a study circle meeting.
