Objectives:

  • Foster knowledge about the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (“New Criminal Laws”) which replaced the Indian Penal Code, 1860, the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973, and the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 (“Old Criminal Laws”) respectively with effect from July 1, 2024.
  • Discuss the potential impacts of the New Criminal Laws
  • Explore the changes brought in by the New Criminal Laws                           
  • Cover the key features of the New Criminal Laws
