Mr. Devendra Jain, Advocate
Advocate Devendra H. Jain is a highly accomplished professional with a stellar academic record, having achieved top ranks in all levels of the Chartered Accountancy (CA) examinations. Graduating in Law in 2018, he further honed his skills through a General Management Programme from IIM Calcutta. With over nineteen years of experience in practicing as a Chartered Accountant, specializing in Direct and Indirect Taxes -Litigation, Consultancy, and Transfer Pricing, Mr. Jain now serves as the founder and practice leader of DHJ Legal,representing clients in the Supreme Court, High Court, and Tribunals.

He has co-authored several books and publications on tax matters and has received prestigious awards for his contributions to the field, including the Prof. T.S. Grewal Award for Best Paper in Advanced Accountancy.

Mr. Jain is also actively involved in teaching and training, having taught Direct Taxes to CA Final students and conducted various courses and seminars on taxation, including as a faculty member for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Additionally, he is a prolific writer, regularly contributing articles to professional magazines and journals, and is sought after as a speaker at industry events and seminars. His extensive expertise and contributions have earned him recognition and respect within the professional community, making him a prominent figure in the field of tax law and practice.

Mr. Paras S. Savla, Advocate
Paras is a practicing Advocate.

He has over 15 years of experience in the field of Direct taxes and regulatory matters. He argues before various forums and also assisted Senior counsels in many matters. He has extensive experience in litigation in direct taxes including appearances before various High Courts, Direct Tax Tribunal, AARs, Commissioners and Settlement Commission.

He writes for various journals like CTC, BCAS, AIFTP, etc.

In the past he has worked with Dr. K. Shivaram, Sr. Counsel. He has one of the founding member of Advaita Legal in Mumbai. He had been associated with BMR legal and with M/s Singhania & Co., Solicitors and Advisors in his earlier stints. He has completed his LLB and LLM from Mumbai University. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Mr. Rahul Hakani, Advocate
Mr. Rahul Hakani has completed Chartered Accountancy and Masters of Law in Commercial Laws from Mumbai University. He is Partner of the law firm, Hakani Legal, Mumbai. Apart from dealing in various laws, his main area of focus is Direct Taxes and he regularly appears before the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, High court and Supreme Court. He has been in practice since past 17 years. He is also associated with Senior Advocate, Dr. K. Shivram who practices mainly in the field of Income Tax.

CA Abhitan Mehta
Mr. Abhitan Mehta is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and has also done LLB. Mr. Mehta did his Articleship from Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC). Post Qualification Mr. Mehta has worked in M/s. Bansi S. Mehta & Co. and now he is working as a transaction advisor at BDA LLP with Shri Gautam Doshi.

Mr. Mehta has garnered experience in a wide range of areas covering Mergers and Acquisitions, IBC Takeover, Succession Planning, International Taxation, Accounting, FEMA and Corporate Laws. He has been actively involved in conceptualizing and implementing a number of acquisition and restructuring transactions.

Mr. Mehta has served as a member of the International Tax Committee and Ind AS Committee of WIRC. Mr. Mehta has also served as the youngest Chairman of the Direct Taxes Committee of the Chamber of Tax Consultants.

Mr. Mehta is a regular speaker at professional forums and has contributed articles/chapters in various professional books, for example –

5 CA Sashank Mehta CA Shashank Ajay Mehta is a dynamic professional with a diverse educational background and rich professional experience. He completed his Chartered Accountancy from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in May 2017, followed by a LL.B. from the University of Mumbai in July 2021. Currently pursuing a Diploma in International Taxation from ICAI, Mr. Mehta has been actively engaged in the field of Income Tax Litigation, Representation, and Advisory.

As a Professional Associate at DHJ Legal Law Firm and the Proprietor of Shashank Mehta & Associates, a Chartered Accountant Firm, he brings expertise and dedication to his core working area. In addition to his professional commitments, Mr. Mehta is deeply involved in knowledge sharing initiatives. He serves as a content writer for blogs summarizing judicial pronouncements and contributes articles to journals of various professional forums such as ICAI, AIFTP, CTC, and Taxmann. He is also a sought-after speaker at seminars organized by study circles of ICAI and other professional forums, where he shares his insights and expertise.

Adv. Niyati Mankad
Niyati Mankad holds an impressive array of academic qualifications, including an LL.M. from Mumbai University, an LL.B. from Government Law College, Mumbai, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in 2012.

She is empaneled as junior counsel for the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). Since 2015, Niyati has been practising as an Advocate and has been associated with Mr. Kirit J. Hakani, Advocate, specializing in civil, commercial, and tax litigation. Prior to this, she worked as an Associate at prominent firms such as PDS Legal (a sister concern of Ernst & Young) and TLC Legal, where she mainly dealt with taxation from 2013 to 2015.

In addition to her legal practice, Niyati has been a Professor at Siddharth College of Law since 2018, where she teaches GST Acts to students of the Post-Graduate Diploma Course in Taxation.

Niyati is actively involved in extracurricular activities and currently serves as the Chairperson of the Student Committee of the Chamber of Tax Consultants (CTC). Under her leadership, the committee organizes a variety of student-centric events, including webinars, seminars, moot court competitions, orientation courses for CA and Law students, debate competitions, and the prestigious Dastur Essay Competition. She also oversees the curation of articles for CTC’s e-journal “Jignyasa.” Furthermore, Niyati is a Life Member of the All India Federation of Tax Practitioners (AIFTP) and regularly contributes legal articles to the journals of CTC, AIFTP, and other esteemed publications.
