Dr. K. Shivaram, Senior Advocate
Dr. K. Shivaram is a distinguished figure within the legal community, particularly renowned as a Senior Advocate designated by the Bombay High Court. With a career spanning over four decades, he has established himself as a formidable legal practitioner specializing in tax matters. Since 1978, Dr. Shivaram has been practicing as Counsel before the Bombay High Court and the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, showcasing his expertise in navigating complex legal terrain.

Dr. Shivaram has had about 22 junior advocates working under him, of which about 20 of them have an active and flourishing income tax practice.

His leadership within the professional community is exemplified by his tenure as the Past President of The Chamber of Tax Consultants, Mumbai, from 1990 to 1992. Additionally, he served as the National President of the All India Federation of Tax Practitioners of India from 2003 to 2006, further solidifying his influence on a national scale. Dr. Shivaram’s commitment to professional excellence is also evident in his past presidency of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal Bar Association Mumbai from 2011 to 2012.

Furthermore, his involvement in governmental advisory committees, such as the Regional Direct Taxes Advisory Committee of the Government of India from 1992 to 1996, underscores his expertise and influence in shaping tax policies.

Dr. K. Shivaram was instrumental in organising the 1st Income Tax Moot of the country in collaboration with Government law College, Mumbai under the banner of Late Shri. Nani Palkhivala.

With a penchant for knowledge dissemination, CA Pradip Kapasi has co-authored numerous professional books covering a wide array of topics ranging from taxation and accounting of shares to stamp duty and international taxation. His contributions extend to regular articles in professional magazines and leading newspapers, showcasing his expertise in areas such as direct tax laws and allied regulations. He also holds position  / membership in regulatory committees like those of RBI, IRDAI, and ICAI which underscore his expertise in navigating the regulatory landscape.

With a background as the Founder Partner of Gokhale & Sathe Chartered Accountants, Mumbai, CA Jayant Gokhale has honed his skills in auditing, particularly in handling central statutory audits of PSU Banks and listed companies.
