Indian regulatory agencies have started reviewing quality standards followed by audit firms in India and reviewing audit work papers. Though this concept has started recently in India, it is quite prevalent in many developed economies. Hence, it is critical to understand what are the expectations of regulators from audit firms in terms of quality standards at firm level and also quality standards while performing audit executions.
