About the Lecture

As an aftermath to 16 years of the Vishaka Guidelines formulated by the Supreme Court for ensuring protection of women from sexual harassment at workplace and the tragic Nirbhaya incident that took place in Delhi, the aw of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 was finally enacted.

This law mandates that each and every organisation having more than 10 employees must perform various compliance tasks – including framing of an Anti SH policy, constitute an Internal Committee, have training and awareness sessions on the law, and also filing an annual report. Non compliance of this law can amount to heavy penalty and even cancellation of the licence to do business.

This lecture meeting would be an interactive discussion on the technical, psychological as well as legal aspects of the law of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (2013) and its effects on various stakeholders including the organisation, employees and employer. This meeting is relevant for every such stakeholder who is committed to compliance.
